Thank you for visiting my website!
Here is a brief introduction about me.
I began my post-secondary education journey at Medicine Hat College in 1992. Subsequently, I earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree, majoring in psychology and sociology, from the University of Lethbridge. Before starting my private practice, I spent 19 years working with Alberta Health Services Addiction and Mental Health. During this time, I supported children, youth, adults, and families through both group and individual services, finding immense satisfaction in helping others. In pursuit of professional growth, I completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2017. As a Registered Social Worker since 2000, I am authorized to offer restricted psychosocial interventions. Moreover, I hold certification as a therapeutic play consultant. My expertise also extends to EMDR therapy, in which I am experienced and offer related services.
It has always been my aspiration to contribute to the community where I grew up. In 2018, I started my own Private Practice. By December 2019, my husband and I bought a house on Aberdeen Street. After more than a year of renovation, we crafted a beautiful and inviting office space. Situated on the South East hill in Medicine Hat, my office is surrounded by old brick apartments, historic homes, and local shops, giving Aberdeen Street a unique charm. Our office, located at 390 Aberdeen Street, was constructed in 1906. This building symbolizes strength, growth, wisdom, and resilience, holding a rich historical significance. Through restoration efforts, we have turned the building into a space dedicated to health and healing.
When I'm off the clock, you'll find me cozied up with a captivating book, pottering around my yard, goofing around with my furry companions, and soaking up quality time with my amazing kids and husband.
